About Mary Vega, CRNP...

Mary knew as a young girl that she wanted to help others. She was born in Wisconsin and moved to Southern California at the age of nine with her parents and two siblings.

She attended college while supporting her two daughters and obtained her registered nursing degree in 1979. Her experience as an RN took her to Neonatal Intensive Care, Labor and Delivery as well as Post Partum.

In 1991, Mary decided to expand her knowledge by obtaining her certification as a Nurse Practitioner. She attended programs for Gynecology and Obstetrics through programs at San Jose State University and Harbour University California Long Beach. She became nationally recognized as a Women’s Health Care Nurse Practitioners in 2001 while working in Phoenix Arizona with a group of six OB/GYN DO’s.

In the year 2003, Mary’s career brought her back to California where she resides in Indio. She worked for three years as a Manager of Medical Services. Her responsibilities included management of 25 nurse practitioners and four clinic sites in the Riverside County area. By 2007, she wanted to return to clinical experience and teamed up with Dr. Bernard.

It is her desire to provide excellent care for her patients. Which range from adolescence to the elderly. She is capable of a wide range of expertise in Women’s Health and is an asset to Valley Womancare.
